One thing about me is I love making lists! I make them for everything that I can! On a daily basis I will make to-do lists, I have lists that consist of things to buy, and goals, but my favorite list of all to make and add to is my bucket list. I love this one because it will be a forever growing list. You can always find something new that you would like to do, and the day that stops happening is the day that I would not like to be here anymore.
I actually wrote down my bucket list 4 years ago right before my freshman year of college started. At that time it only had about 10 items; today I am proud to say there are a total of 57 items on my bucket list! I have crossed off a few of the items in the last four years, but I still have a lot of ground to cover when it comes to completing my bucket list. I won’t be sharing all of the items on my bucket list today, but I will be sharing some of my favorites to show you what I want to do in my lifetime, and hopefully inspire you to make a bucket list of your own! So, here we go!
- Watch the Olympics
I love the Olympics so much. The Olympic Games might be one of my favorite events ever, no matter if it is the Summer or Winter Games. I always try to watch every event, and seeing an event or two live would be a dream come true.
- Attend a ball in Vienna
There is actually a season in Vienna called ball season from November to February. During the season, Vienna hosts over 450 balls! I don’t know about you, but when I think of attending a ball, it takes me back in time and seems like it would be magical. One day I will attend one of these balls, and I can’t wait!
- Go Skydiving
This one is a little more adventurous. And honestly, I definitely go back and forth on actually wanting to do this at times when looking over my bucket list. I can only imagine the thrill you would feel jumping out of a plane, but I also always think “what if”. What if something were to go wrong? But at the same time, life wouldn’t be fun if we didn’t take risks, so for now it is staying.
- Pass all Ice Dance Tests
This one might throw some people off. In the world of figure skating, there are different disciplines, and within those disciplines are different levels. To get to the next level you have to take tests, where you do certain sequences/patterns/steps in front of a panel of judges and they decide whether you pass or fail. I only have six dance test left until I would have passed all of the tests, and it is on my bucket list to do so!
- Go scuba diving
Scuba diving has always been an interest of mine. Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to ever do it. But one day I will be unda’ the sea like Sebastian sang so perfectly. I would be happy to go scuba diving anywhere, but if given the chance to choose where to go, I would love for my first time to be at the Great Barrier Reef.
- Watch the ball drop in Times Square
This is one of the more cliché items on a bucket list, but it is still something that I want to experience one day. I love New York City, and watching the ball drop is an American tradition that I watch every year on tv, so seeing it is person would be so much fun!
- Visit Halloweentown in October (St. Helens, Oregon)
I am a 90’s baby, and grew up watching the Disney Channel movies, such as Halloweentown. Well, here’s a fun fact for you, St. Helens, Oregon was the filming location for this movie, and every year they have The Spirit of Halloweentown, and celebrate all October! Personally, I still make a point to watch Halloweentown every year when Disney does a rerun of it, so seeing the movie come to life in the town it was filmed in is definitely something that is on my bucket list. Check out the link below for more information on this fun event!
There you have it! I just went over a few of the items that are on my bucket list, but there is so much more out there. Like I said earlier, my bucket list is forever growing, which means there will always be something for me to discover. I hope you also have a bucket list, and that you will share some of your ideas with me! Please leave a comment, and maybe it will inspire me to add it to my bucket list as well!
